Music, food for the soul

Tue Mar 25, 2008, 10:23 PM
  • Mood: Distracted
  • Listening to: MoTab
  • Reading: nothin... I am SO out of it lately
  • Watching: Musashi, I, II & III
  • Playing: I BEAT TWILIGHT PRINCESS!
  • Eating: nothing, it's late so I don't want to stay up
  • Drinking: I just chugged a thing of OJ... yeah...
well for those of you who care, (which is prolly you if you happen to be reading this XD) I've noticed a change in my lifestyle recently. It all started when I noticed that my music was making me either emo, or angsty, depending on what shuffle dealt my way. To solve this I simply played my "Peace" playlist which consists of mostly Celtic music. I noticed the change almost emidiately. I was in control of my emotions, and no longer went to bed depressed. When I look back, I see how depressing the music was that I was listening to was. Don't get me wrong, I still like Evanesence, Nickleback, and the Cranberries and all, I'm just not going to listen to then all the time.
Now I'm trying an even harder test: I've been listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It's taken my life to a whole 'nother level. My room is now a place of peace, where I can truely relax.
So yeah, if you're having trouble in your life, and you just feel drained at the end of the day, try listening to some uplifting music. I mean you don't have to go hardcore and go super spiritual, but maybe lay off on the rage tracks for a while. I guarantee it'll help!

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone.
